Coupon Types Vendors Can Use
When you create a coupon in your dashboard, you will see two options:
• Percentage Discount – Example: 10% off. This applies to each product in the cart.
• Fixed Product Discount – Example: $5 off. This applies per item in the cart. If a customer buys 3 items, they will get $15 off total (3 × $5).
Coupon Type Vendors Cannot Create
Fixed Cart Discount – Example: $20 off the entire order. By default, vendors do not have access to this option. Only the admin team can create these. Reason: It can cause issues when multiple vendors are in the same order.
Common Mistake
If you want to give a customer $20 total off their order, do not use ‘Fixed Product Discount’ for $20. That will take $20 off each product in the cart (e.g., 3 items = $60 off).
What to Do Instead
If you want a cart-wide discount (e.g., $20 off the whole order), please contact the admin team. We will create a Fixed Cart Discount coupon for you and restrict it to only your products.
📌 Quick Reference
• % off all products → Vendor creates ‘Percentage Discount.’
• $ off per item → Vendor creates ‘Fixed Product Discount.’
• $ off total order → Ask Admin to create ‘Fixed Cart Discount.’
Example Scenarios
