Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce
Veteran, woman, or minority-owned businesses can obtain official certifications as a “Veteran Owned Business, etc.” to help them compete for business opportunities in both the public and private sectors… Did you know military spouses can now get certified?
The Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce created the first and only Military Spouse Owned Enterprise Certification in 2021 and are actively advocating for national recognition of military spouses both in corporate at the Billion Dollar Roundtable as well as the government and Small Business Administration.
Why Get Certified?
Being a certified business enables you to stand out in a crowded marketplace. Since 92% of military spouses are women, getting certified as a Military Spouse Owned Business in addition to being a Woman-Owned Business helps military spouses stand out against 11 million other women-owned businesses. For male military spouses, this certification finally provides the opportunity to gain a competitive advantage that may have been formerly unavailable to you as a male.
How to Apply
To get certified, we ensure the business owner(s) is indeed a military spouse, legally formed in their locale, and majority owned, operated and controlled by one or more military spouses. We honor an inclusive definition of a military spouse including active duty, guard, reserves, dual military, as well as gold star, caregivers and the spouses of veterans from any branch of the U.S. military.
